Dirty Panties Tornado

Used panties, metal, bamboo, plastic tubing, wire, motor, smoke machine and strobe light. 16.5 x 5 feet 2011 Dirty Panties Tornado was created at the invitation of Andrew Hustwaite for Milk of Magnesia at Hope St Studios. Tom Dunn would like to thank the hundreds of women who generously donated their dirty panties and any women in Melbourne who had underwear go missing between January and May 2011. The construction of Dirty Panties Tornado was made possible with the help of Andrew Hustwaite and the special technical assistance of Dean Schulz and Stuart Beekmeyer. Technical advice was also given by Roland Dymond and Ngoc Nguyen. Panty attaching assistance was provided by Erica Canever, Jacqui Gibbons and Bonnie Lane. Thanks also to Mary-Lou Howie and the fabulous dancers at Isabelle’s Academy of Tap.
